The best way to get Down Under is straight from the West Coast. 

LCL Navigation now utilizes vessels that sail directly from the west coast straight into the ports of Sydney/Melbourne, non-stop and without transshipping. Transit time for this improved direct sailing is only 24 days from Vancouver to Sydney. Frequency of service is weekly, closing every Monday in Montreal and Tuesday in Toronto.

Our new direct service to Auckland, New Zealand is also non-stop from the west coast, with a transit time of only 19 days on water. There is simply no faster service from Canada to New Zealand. Frequency of this new service is bi-weekly, with closings every second Monday in Montreal and every second Tuesday in Toronto.

Cargoes to both Australia and New Zealand as well as to all our 14 other direct destinations around the world are loaded into individual export containers at Montreal and Toronto for intermodal rail connections with the ship. There is no re-loading, co-loading, transshipping (so-called hubbing) or intermediate re-handling between Montreal/Toronto and the container's final destination. The container stays on board the ship from port of origin to port of destination.
